I shared this yesterday and thought I would post it here. Not much is happening, but nice to keep up.

FSU v. ACC - Florida case.As we head to the end of the season, I took a look at the status of the case pending in FLORIDA. It's interesting. The Florida case is the only trial action not stayed IIRC. For sure ACC v. FSU in NC is stayed pending the appeals.

Yet nothing is happening. No one has done but initial minimal discovery. No depos yet. FSU filed a motion months ago asking the court to basically rule on the case with no discovery (on some limited issues). ACC fought it, arguing they needed time for discovery. The court had a heading in early NOV. It issued a written ruling telling the parties to do necessary discovery in time to have the hearing on or after March 25, 2025. That is only a few months away, and NOTHING has happened since the Order. No discovery issued or responded to. No depositions even scheduled.

This is a mess. I have a feeling they will do nothing by hearing time and will ask the Court to give more time. It very well may not.It is wild that we are over a year into this case with ZERO factual development beyond some redacted contract terms.
