Just spoke with a source close to senior OL Corey Martinez, who confirmed that Corey is giving up his senior year and is leaving the team. From what I hear, he was close to making this decision before, but wanted to give it a try with this new coaching staff. In the end, he just wants to move on with his post-football life. The passion for the game isn't where it needs to be anymore. But he did love this coaching staff -- especially Taggart and Frey.
Feel badly for the young man. He represented the program well and fought through numerous injuries. Here's hoping he finds his true passion after football.
