As you've seen on Twitter and the Tribal Council, Florida State redshirt senior quarterback Sean Maguire returned to practice Friday.

Maguire's return was a bit of a surprise. It was believed he would return after the Ole Miss game but it now appears he could be ready for the season opener on Labor Day at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.

As the team was walking into practice, there was a 10-second period where Maguire only walked in with DB Marquez White. Maguire, who was in pads and shorts with the rest of the team, was holding another pair of non-cleated shoes.

While team was stretching, Maguire was being loaded with microphone equipment by Showtime. This led to reporters taking photos and Jimbo Fisher quipping, "Yeah. Take that picture! Better get that up on Twitter!"

Now, for the news:

>Maguire was with the third team during offensive drills. He was able to run around and he appeared as if he was at normal speed. Maguire was trotting back to the huddle when one of the coaches continuously yelled, "I see ya 10! I see ya!" Maguire was able to get some passing in during the early portion of practice.

>Fisher was certainly animated during practice. The team was doing a late-game transition drill and he was a bit heated when it was not done to his liking. It was certainly the most emotional Fisher has been during preseason.

>OL Alec Eberle returned to the first team offensive line. He was joined by Roderick Johnson, Kareem Are, Wilson Bell and Rick Leonard. It appears this could very well be the group that will start against Ole Miss. Aside from Eberle who was absent with concussion recovery, this has been the longest we've seen any one group of offensive linemen together since preseason camp began.

>On the injury front, punter Jack Steed was seen limping around practice. He did not stretch with the team but was getting in some stretching off onto the side. Steed's stretches appeared to be designed to loosen his ailment. It was hard to tell if it was a foot or ankle problem. It was clear that he was having a difficult time moving around.

>DB Nate Andrews, DT Keith Bryant and DT Adam Torres were all doing rehab work during practice. LB Dontavious Jackson was not present. Earlier in the week, Fisher said he was dealing with a "personal matter."

This is our only update today as we do not have availability until tomorrow.

Until next time. Bye for now.
