The No. 9 Florida State softball team (20-5) fell to No. 12 Oregon (22-2), 1-0, in a pitcher's duel on Sunday afternoon at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
Ashtyn Danley got the start for the Noles and was terrific as she pitched the pitched the first three innings then re-entered for the final 1.1 innings and allowed four hits while striking out two while not giving up a run. The Ducks scored the game's only run of the game on a bloop single in the fifth inning.
The Noles threatened in the fourth inning as Jaysoni Beachum singled up the middle and moved over to second, but the Seminoles were unable to bring her home.
