Lots of information out there. One former Oregon player claiming to have sources in the Oregon program saying that FSU has not had serious negoitations with Taggert. All that has happened is ballpark numbers were exchanged, and that Taggart/Sexton perceived the FSU parameter numbers to be low. He went on to say FSU is saying we have upto 20 candidates interested and is slow playing this whole deal with Taggert. He also said the number that could get this done for FSU is 5.5 million per year.

This all seems like FSU maybe overplaying their hand with this '20 candidates story' but really wants Taggart, just at a lower number like 4-4.5 million. My thoughts are a extra 1-1.5 million per year is only 5-7.5 million more over the length of the contract. We really cant let this hold up a deal, the market is just higher right now than it has been. And Taggart works extremely hard on the recruiting trail, he probably spends double the time Jimbo would meaning you would get your moneys worth.

This source also said the next 24hrs are very critical bc Taggart has recruiting trips scheduled starting Monday and that would put him in a weird position going into recruits homes while still entertaining FSU.
