"Based on or in accordance with reason or logic." When the tide is turning against an irrationally held belief that guns in abundance is safer than zero guns, then yes.

Read this for the rational view. We'll get there some day.

There is literally no possible way for the 2a to be repealed in our lifetime. Even many on the left backed away and put out counters to the article you linked. A 2/3 vote would be impossible.

So a "Zero gun" safe space is not possible. Look at Mexico, Brazil, and Venezuela where guns are illegal and their gun crime. 300m guns in the US even if they banned ownership tomorrow there is no way they could get anywhere near zero.

So when you talk about safety, and you point out the fact that 98% of mass shootings have taken place in "Gun Free Zones" in the past 50 years, the rational person can see that it would be easier, cheaper and more politically expedient to have armed security in those places vs disarming everyone.
