Posted by Thinicer in another thread, but needs its own:
Jimbo has lost only three games since the end of the 2011 season. He has a national championship win and three ACC championships. He is 4-1 in bowl games. He is 4-1 against UF; 5-0 against Miami; 4-1 against Clemson. He's also pulled in top 5 recruiting classes consistently since becoming head coach. Jimbo is the reason Jameis came to FSU and didn't go anywhere else.
FSU is back to being an elite program and in the national discussion. They are not going to win every game by 30 points or more, they are not going to win the national championship every year, and they are not always going to win the ACC. The important thing is that Jimbo has put together a program that can seriously compete for national championships once every 3 years or so, and that is meaningful with today's parity in college football.
And yet, given all the of the above facts, we still have some fans that are not satisfied and continue to pan Jimbo. I suppose they are uncomfortable doing anything else.
