Everything you need to know about the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open.

Everything you need to know about the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour.

The PGA Tour’s West Coast Swing heads south to Torrey Pines in San Diego for the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open where Matthieu Pavon will defend the title that saw him become the first Frenchman since 1907 to win on golf’s premier tour.

Pavon held off Denmark’s Nicolai Hojgaard by a stroke on the notoriously difficult South Course, a two-time host of the US Open, to claim the historic win and join an illustrious group of past champions including Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Jon Rahm, and Justin Rose.

The event has a distinguished history dating back to 1952, taking place under the banner of several title sponsors including Convair, Wickes, Isuzu, Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Buick before Farmers Insurance took it on in 2010.

Due to the NFL Conference Championship Games taking place on Sunday 26, the PGA Tour has once again moved the tournament forward a day – as it has since 2022. This means the tournament begins on Wednesday and concludes on Saturday.

Where is the Farmers Insurance Open played?

The Farmers Insurance Open is held across two different courses at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California. All 156 golfers in the field will play one round on the par 72 North Course, measuring 7,258 yards, and one round on the longer, more arduous, 7,765-yard par 72 South Course. The 65 and ties who make the cut will play the final two rounds on the South Course.
