I'll be going 30 miles north of Philly to Quakertown to visit my college roommate and fish probably the weekend of June 12.

I’ve survived the streets of Tallahassee, I’ll be fine on the Streets of Philadelphia.
Pat’s and Geno’s are across the street from each other. Been a few times and stayed downtown but nothing too memorable. Going back next Easter and hoping to catch a baseball game. The Vet was a freaking nightmare!
Are you taking your sons? Have they seen Rocky? Running up the steps (them) to the statue would be cool.
That would be awesome until the half way mark and the realization of how out of shape I am sets in. 🤣

I’ll have to revamp the post. In typical HORT fashion, it got derailed with people arguing about whether Philadelphia was the first Capital or not.
Then you run the steps and make sure someone is recording it. 😅
Reading Market right in downtown. Awesome food and good cheesesteaks. Pats and Genos are worth a trip but neither is the best IMO. McGillins Olde Ale House in downtown is pretty cool along with Iron Hill Brewery. There are tons of cool places there.
