Big 10 - Penn State vs. Oregon
SEC- UGA vs. Texas
ACC-SMU vs. Clemson
Big 12 - Iowa State vs. Arizona State
MWC - Boise State vs. UNLV

The Big 10 game does not matter the winner gets a top 4 seed. Even if Oregon loses they are in the playoffs and IMHO would not drop further than 5. Penn State would be in Ranked #2 IMHO behind Texas or Georgia. If Texas wins UGA will end up dropping to the 8 spot and a first round game of Ohio State vs. Georgia would be epic. I feel there is only one spot open at this time....

Who You got....

Miami - 10-2 (losses to GT, and Syracuse)
Alabama 9-3 (losses to Vandy, Tennessee, OU)
South Carolina - 9-3 (losses to LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss) Beat OU, Texas A&M, Vandy, Clemson, Missouri)
Ole Miss - 9-3 (losses to UK, LSU, UF)

If Clemson wins they and SMU are in and nothing else matters. Now if Clemson loses to SMU it comes down to four teams. I personally would eliminate Alabama and Ole Miss. If loses don't matter and the SEC is the standard of why you are picking then 7-5 UF should be in. Why, because they beat Ole Miss and LSU. So that would eliminate Ole Miss. I don't believe the Rebels have any argument to be in the playoffs.

As for Alabama they got blown out by Oklahoma. The game was at the end of the year and were whipped up and down the field. Alabama also was losing most of their game against USF. If not for one of the worst halfs of football against UGA, Alabama would have lost that game as well. The Tide also have a bad loss to Vandy. I am sorry but if UF and Bama play on a neutral field right now, I am taking the Gators. If Miami plays Alabama you have faith that Milroe is going to outscore Cam Ward, I don't.

So that leaves South Carolina and Miami. To be honest these two teams should play each other in a play in game. I feel only South Carolina can be mentioned over Miami. They have wins over OU who Alabama got run over. They have a win over Vandy who Bama beat. So South Carolina may have lost head to head to bama but the game came down to the wire and at 9-3 South Carolina has five good wins. Miami has a better record and yes they play in the ACC and their schedule sucked...THEY STILL ARE 10-2. I do think games are about match ups...Ole Miss would most likely beat Miami. I feel Miami would beat Bama. South Carolina is similar to Georgia Tech and that game would come down to who had the ball last. Miami's defense sucks....But their offense is elite and can basically score on anyone in the country. The GT team that beat Miami at home gave Georgia all they could handle last week. I believe Miami would give Georgia fits...Why, I just think to beat Miami you have to either control the clock against them (which tech did)...I dont think Georgia can. You can out score them...Which I don't have faith Georgia, Bama can...Which I feel Ole Miss could. In the end I am ok with South Carolina getting in but not Bama or Ole Miss....Miami would curb stomp Kentucky or Vandy.

In the end I think they pick Miami because TV eyeballs....Miami vs. ND in round one will draw more eyes than ND vs. SC. SMU beats Clemson, I have the canes in the playoffs. Bama will end up in Jacksonville or Orlando. Ole Miss can play in the Liberty Bowl for all I care. SC will end up playing in a new years day bowl.
