A few to start -

Kenny Chesney - I heard his song Key Lime Pie (absolutely horrible) and out of morbid curiosity listened to his XM channel No Shoes Radio. You can get better lyrics off a Hallmark card. What a freaking Jimmy Buffett rip-off con this guy is running. He must laugh every day looking at his bank account.

Bruce Springsteen - I’ll give him Born to Run but everything else is just him straining through lyrics.

Bob Dylan - a few good tunes but have never understood how this guy became so popular.

Who ya’ got?

I tried to get into Wilco years ago but couldn’t.I know people that absolutely love the band but they were just kind of boring to me.

I don’t know if you care to try...but if you do, try listening to “In Rainbows”...specifically, Weird Fishes and All I Need.

If neither of those do it for you, I’d abandon ship.

I’ve listened to the majority of the catalog, and it just doesn’t resonate with me.

I recognize their genius, but I don’t appreciate it.

David Bowie

I do like his song Heroes. But for the most part his music does nothing for me.

Blasphemy. Ziggy is one of the greatest albums ever made. To each his own, at least you’ve given him a try.

Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Frightened Rabbit. Pretty much any of the hipster, folksy stuff.

I grew up on all sorts of music but got heavily into hip hop (OutKast, as in their first 3 albums, Wu, early Death Row, Redman, etc.) so i get the disdain for mumble rap, but I like Post Malone enough to listen when he’s on. I don’t seek his music, but he’s entertaining to me.

Oh!! Drake is terrible. Lil Wayne too.

I'll probably get blasted for this one. I'm a huge 70s classic rock music listener. But I've never been a huge fan of Led Zeppelin. I like a handful of his songs but so many of them jusr seems like screaming and screaming guitars. Probably just me.

Imagine Dragons When they had their first radio hit I thought they were ok, almost went to see them. My youngest was into them a little. Now when they come on I immediately change it.

Dmb, what's that sound ? is that a donkey braying?

Kenny's old stuff is good (and some of his newer). His XM station doesn't really play that. They do every now and again, but it's mainly other artists and songs from his albums that aren't hits. Key Lime Pie is off his album "Be as You Are", which is one of his worst. There's like one good song on there and that's "Old Blue Chair".

I just saw KC in Tampa back in April and he was awesome.

Mine is Taylor Swift. ugh!

Another vote for Radiohead. To be clear, I loved their first three albums, especially OK Computer and The Bends. But with Kid A and the next two albums, breathlessly adored by critics and fans alike, I got off the bus. I tried and tried to like them but found them incredibly dull post 1997. It was weird listening to Kid A and wondering if it was a giant prank as most critics called it genius...

Interesting. To me. Their best album, and it’s not close, is ‘In Rainbows’ (2007). Since you used to like them, you might wanna give that one a listen if you haven’t before.

I’m with you on the Kid A & Amnesiac stuff though. It’s largely unlistenable.

I will give it a shot. What about the two after that?

I liked ‘King of Limbs,’ the one immediately after In Rainbows (2011ish), but it’s nowhere near as good.

I don’t remember the name of their most recent album, but I remember anxiously awaiting it’s release, then being very disappointed once I heard it.

Elvis Costello:
I'm a big fan of punk & post-punk from the 70's & 80's, so conventional wisdom dictates I should dig EC, but I find his music quite bland and boring.

I've seen DMB listed a couple of times. Although I recognize and appreciate their fine musicianship, I've never been able to get into their music.

Since I love the Grateful Dead, I know I'm supposed to dig Phish, but I don't.

I just don't get Springsteen or Dave Matthews Band.
Edited to add Lorde.

Not a fan of Dave Matthews, but he does have an interesting tone to his voice. Springsteen sounds like he's fighting to wiggle out a huge turd.

Drake, I’m Another mumble talking, I mean “rapping” hater. Sounds like a 9 year old discovered garage band on apple, and talked over the simple arrangements.

He probably just isn’t a fan and would not like it. I love Radio Head and love In Rainbows, but I could listen to every Red Hot Chili Peppers album and still hate them

The Eagles

I just find their songs incredibly excruciating. That's one that I legit don't get the appeal of that kind of music. A lot of the singer songwriter thing is lost on me...I can't tolerate James Taylor either.

But I like Gordon Lightfoot. Why, I don't know. I find it a perplexing contradiction.

There's plenty of acts that I don't see the overwhelming obsession with, like Springsteen, U2, Fleetwood Mac, I just don't see what prompts the devotion. But in a vacuum, I think they're fine. Nothing special, but have some songs I like and I think they're ok, so my disconnect is really about the scale of their following, but the likes of James Taylor and the Eagles...I just don't see it.

The vast majority of the grunge thing is just lost on me sonically too. I just can't appreciate Pearl Jam from any direction, and certainly not any of the sub-Pearl Jam acts. I like a couple of Nirvana songs enough to leave them on I guess. I wouldn't really throw them on the list because it's just about me not liking the entire genre maybe. I wouldn't put Placido Domingo on the list because I don't like any opera.

The Eagles are awful - great call!

I never got into Dave Matthews Band or Phish and I was in the minority on both growing up near Boulder.

I am also not a fan of the Beatles. For a band I prefer the Stones and for a solo artist I like that guy Led Zeppelin.

Guns and Roses. Never really got the appeal. I like Welcome to the Jungle ok, but the rest of their big hits are just meh. I feel like there's more style than substance there. People like that they were more "real" than the hair bands of the time, but other than that there's not much to their music.

ZZ Top and bubble gum punk acts like Green Day and Blink 182.

Also not a fan of Kiss, but I respect the con
