I liked ‘King of Limbs,’ the one immediately after In Rainbows (2011ish), but it’s nowhere near as good.
I don’t remember the name of their most recent album, but I remember anxiously awaiting it’s release, then being very disappointed once I heard it.
Its a badge of honor not to agree w/you.Eh. No surprise here, totally disagree. MSP is an excellent album.
Pretty easy ranking.
1. Kid A
2. OK Computer
3. In Rainbows
4. Moon Shaped Pearl
5. The Bends.
6. Hail to the Thief
7. Amnesiac
8. The King of Limbs
9. Pablo Honey
Phish, Umphrey's, Dead. Don't get them, never will.
I agree, new Green Day sold out, not a knock on them at all, but Dookie and Kerplunk were pretty good and a lot different then what we think of them now. That’s fair. But go back to Dookie, Kerplunk, 1,000 Hours, 39 Smooth, and Slappy and it’s fantastic 80s/90s punk rock.
On a related note, Green Day’s American Idiot is up to number 14 in UK charts and may hit number 1 this week...ZZ Top and bubble gum punk acts like Green Day and Blink 182.
Also not a fan of Kiss, but I respect the con
I can’t stand Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Like you said, opinions vary. I can totally admit Flea and the lead guitarist( don’t know if he is still with the band) are very skilled musicians. I just don’t like the sound, and Anthony is about as good as garage band lead singer.I don't see how anyone cannot appreciate Red Hot Chili Peppers. In the words of Dalton ... opinions vary.
Pretty sure Trip Googled Roadiohead album sales and then listed them in reverse order. Its a badge of honor not to agree w/you.
There were are a lot of stupid people populating the Earth in the '90s?Collective Soul
Candlebox
Goo-Goo Dolls
At some point in time they were popular (or close to being popular). I can't fathom why.
But I don't think you do....yetI know....hits, music, songs, screams.. lol
I know I know

Not a huge fan of the Goo Goo Dolls, but John Rzeznik is a talented dude.
I'll take your word for it. I have no idea what he does outside of making/singing music.
Wide tastes. Interesting.I'm sort of surprised at the number of fellow music lovers who ALSO have never cared for Springsteen.
Agree on some others choices but I'm an addicted channel changer with wide tastes in music.
I like Ed Sheehan, like Niall Horan's Slow Hands" (Sexy!) and even Hailey Steinfeld's Let Me Go -
Oldies? Lots of 80's, Journey, Van Halen, Tears for Fears "Everybody Wants To Rule The World"
Sirius is always on in my car...
Hell yes on Aerosmith! Old stuff is great, then the 90s come along and they start putting out cheezy mall pop, cant stand them.Ok. Here goes. Lol.
Aerosmith
G n R
The Beatles
Bob Dylan
Grateful Dead
FFDP
Blondie
They’re all instant change station/channel immediately
And on and on and on. But I have horrible taste in music anyway.
Ok im going to get crucified in here for this, as I know it's a lot of posters favorite bands, but I have to say Foo Fighters.
Just too poppy, bland, rehashed soccer mom, top 40 cheese. Have no originality, soul, or depth. A small step up, but similar to Godsmack and Nickelback.
Blasphemy. Ziggy is one of the greatest albums ever made. To each his own, at least you’ve given him a try.
Another vote for Radiohead. To be clear, I loved their first three albums, especially OK Computer and The Bends. But with Kid A and the next two albums, breathlessly adored by critics and fans alike, I got off the bus. I tried and tried to like them but found them incredibly dull post 1997. It was weird listening to Kid A and wondering if it was a giant prank as most critics called it genius...
Wake up just before sunrise on an chilly autumn Sunday morning. Get in your car, put on Kid A and drive through your city. You may feel differently.
I've got to reluctantly revise my previously stated opinion on Kid A and Amnesiac. It pains me to do this b/c it means I tacitly agree with TripTych, a poster that I think has horrendous taste and opinions, obscenely bad people skills, and is just a genuinely unlikable individual...BUT...I've been re-listening to Kid A & Amnesiac for the past two days, just to verify that they weren't as good as I remember them...and I was flat out wrong.Wake up just before sunrise on an chilly autumn Sunday morning. There was a lot of great music in the 90’s. For all the good music there is always bad. Same can be said for all decades. In the 80’s for every Guns N Roses there were far more groups like Fire House. There were are a lot of stupid people populating the Earth in the '90s?

I actually thought Fire House was in the late 80’s. I just know they were really bad glamour rock. Thank goodness for Nirvana and the grunge bands.Did you know:
At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award for Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock New Artist. They were chosen over Nirvana and Alice in Chains.
Laughable. I’m not even a Nirvana fan and it’s still mind-numbing.

I agree, was just replying to a question asking how bands like Collective Soul and Candlebox were ever popular. There was a lot of great music in the 90’s. For all the good music there is always bad.
