Lol! Interesting.I thought you were a pretend mega-gazillionaire financial advisor? Do I have you confused with someone else? As I recall, you pretended to have literally hundreds of millions of AUM.
I don't know anyone that could/would be able to keep their clients and just up and move. People want to be able to see their financial advisor face to face a couple of times per year, at a minimum, especially if they are as high net worth as you pretended to be working with.
This doesn't fit your narrative. What gives, Bud? Did you forget the stories you've told here in the past?
Really? I don't know you Les, but there are a large number of people here that know me. Not that it is any of your concern, but my business is a large part of this possible move. Thanks for the helpful post though, I appreciate the loveLol! Interesting.
If we end up moving to Vegas, we will probably rent somewhere close to whatever school my wife ends up at, and I will find space to set up shop close to the house. Just wanted some ideas as to where she should look to work as far as top areas for schools. We have 10 year old twin boys, so a good athletics environment would be good. Also, I am an instructor at Frontsight in Pahrump, but that is a straight run out on the Blue Diamond. How do you like it out there so far BTW?I recently moved here and NolandDawg lives here too. Depending on where youight work there are a few good places to live. Look in Summerlin on the northwest side, Mountains edge and Southern Highlands on the southwest and Anthem on the southeast. Avoid pretty much anything on the north side.
Do you know where you will be working?

I live in Vegas, in a subdivision called silver stone ranch. It's in the northern part of town close to the 215/95. Great location and very quiet. There are a lot of horse farms surrounding the area. The Sumerlin area is nice also.
Thanks Nole&Dawg, I really appreciate the info. I am going out of town until next week, but I will definitely be in touch if this thing gets serious. Do you enjoy living out there? My primary concern, for me, is getting used to the time zone change for the financial markets. Did you have trouble adjusting to that? I mean I would need to up at 3-4 AM PST to speak with my early bird clients!! I am 44 years old, so trying to gauge the activities (not a gambling kind of guy, as you might imagine). We own several homes in Silverstone Ranch and we live on some horse property near there. It is a nice area and we like it. The best areas of town are the Sunmerlin area, certain parts of Henderson near Lake Las Vegas and Anthem and in the Northwest. If you really want to get away from town there are lots of nice houses up on Mt. Charleston where you can beat the summer heat. My. Charleston is also pretty convenient for taking the back way into Pahrump and there are some convenient areas out in the desert to go shooting as well. If you have any specific questions you can drop me a line at jdworin@mac.com. If you'd like someone to go shooting with just drop me a line. My form IV MG should clear sometime around the end of summer.
