This could awaken Jimbo to one of the major criticisms a lot of us share. if Blackmon is our qb for the rest of the year, hopefully Jimbo will recognize the need to simplify his offense for his rookie qb. If Blackmon then performs well, maybe (just maybe) Jimbo will learn a lesson that stays with him long after Blackmon is gone. Happened with Charlie Ward and the fast break offense when we tried up tempo - when it worked like gangbusters that was all she wrote. I love Jimbo but his complex offense sometimes negates the natural talent our athletes have. That's one good thing Bowden used to do and Meyer does it today - don't over coach a natural athlete. Coaches spend so much time with practice repetitions trying to get good athletes to "react" instead of thinking - why go backwards and teach superior athletes to "think" when they naturally react. It's not necessary at this level to win.
