President Thrasher wants to hear from you

Such thoughtless comments should give people pause about considering him for VP which I'm sure is his actual goal at this point rather than Potus.

The d'bag is now both backpedaling and defiant. I don't think he was prepared for the backlash from #FSUTwitter
F that.

He wasn't talking crap about our team, he was a US Senator assailing the intelligence of kids who attend Florida State.
If he said we have a crappy punter, fine, whatever.

My only issue with your statement is that he went to Santa Fe CC in New Mexico I believe and it was tied to some type of sports scholarship per something I read on him. But graduating from UF with a program of lesser reputation and quality than FSUs (PoliSci) and a law school of lower ranking to boot is 100% accurate and should be our presidents immediate response. I'm disappointed that Thrasher has let this insult sit.

No, he went to something called Tarkio College in New Mexico for a year, playing football. Then left there & went to Hogtown Community College before becoming a goiter.

Btw, Tarkio College went bankrupt not long after he left there & closed its' doors, eventually reopening as a continuing education provider for various professions.

From Wikipedia (which I think is fairly accurate when it comes to background details)

Rubio attended South Miami Senior High School and graduated in 1989. He then attended Tarkio College for one year on a football scholarship from 1989 to 1990, before enrolling at Santa Fe Community College (now Santa Fe College). He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Florida in 1993, and his J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1996.[12][13] Rubio said that his education resulted in $100,000 of student loans, which he paid off in 2012.[14]

FWIW, attending a CC is perfectly fine with me, but if you're going to do that and then cast aspersions on my alma mater, then the gloves come off

Sorry for posting this again, but this is yet another reason why FSU fans and supporters need to make sure our politicians know that the State and Federal government needs to fully fund FSU so that it can serve Florida citizens as an elite academic and research institution.

FSU has NEVER been adequately funded by the State of Florida.

FSU has gained 12 places in quality since 2008. In contrast, over the same time period, the university has dropped 5 places to #212 in financial resources. In fact, since 1999, Florida State has steadily dropped in financial resources in comparison with its peers, dropping 46 places, while at the same time achieving its highest quality rating for the same period. Its high quality rank, despite having the lowest level of financial resources of all tier one universities, is the basis for US News and World Reports listing of Florida State at the top of its efficiency ranking. Florida State University knows how to invest a dollar in quality. FSU is committed to accessible excellence. A strategic investment, focused on its mission, can now take FSU to the level of a top 25 public university efficiently and effectively, maintaining our noteworthy record of accessibility. A focus on STEM, combined with a focus on career readiness, will both move Florida State University higher in the rankings and serve the critical needs of the citizens of Florida.

Just now from our President:
“He’s a nice kid,” said FSU President John Thrasher, who served with Rubio in Florida legislature. “I’m sure he’s frustrated by his low standing in the polls, which I believe could be a reflection of where he got his education.”
Oh, SNAP!! Love it!
