Political commentary and comic books really don't mix regardless of the lean. Ill stick to more adult themes. Do you like the show because that's how you wish things were in some sort of fantasy land? I guess you cant handle the reality of the real world. You probably should, I doubt you could handle it
It's a perfect commentary for today's world
I try to avoid anything that has any political lean.I think the political motivations for shows are sometimes amusing. Star Trek Discovery show writers claimed that they were modeling elements of the primary conflicts on the modern gop in terms of their portrayal of the bad guys. But, the portrayal was so alien to the gop that it was not insulting. Meaning, even non Dems agree that those things are bad. They’re beating on straw men versions of arguments.
That show did get worse over time in that regard. Even having Stacey Abrams as president of earth, or whatever.
I try to avoid anything that has any political lean.
I agree. only someone with your great moral strength, fortitude, boundless compassion and ability to comprehend the human condition could handle it.You probably should, I doubt you could handle it
I agree. only someone with your great moral strength, fortitude, boundless compassion and ability to comprehend the human condition could handle it.
(Muffled laughter)
*it completely torches a strawman version of a certain party that starts with a g and ends with a p.No, it completely torches those that side with a certain party that starts with a G and ends with a P
^^^^exactly right. Reed got worked*it completely torches a strawman version of a certain party that starts with a g and ends with a p.
“Fascism” as defined by what a certain party that starts with a d and ends with a t doesn’t like and would like everyone to ignore the actual definition so as to deflect any attention to their own behavior. .
So it only makes fun of one side, not both. No, it completely torches those that side with a certain party that starts with a G and ends with a P
So, like I said political lean. Doesn't matter who gets made fun of its politics real or made up. What Bandit said was spot on why I pass on those shows. It's one sides opinion. Rarely are those opinions or view's completely objective. No, it completely torches those that side with a certain party that starts with a G and ends with a P
Almost exactly what this article says.*it completely torches a strawman version of a certain party that starts with a g and ends with a p.
“Fascism” as defined by what a certain party that starts with a d and ends with a t doesn’t like and would like everyone to ignore the actual definition so as to deflect any attention to their own behavior. .
Exactly. It’s just the modern socialists think they’re the benevolent dictators.from a historical perspective, Mussolini created the concept of Fascism. He was actually an ardent socialist early in his life (before the Great War). Hitler idolized Mussolini early in career and emulated him during his rise to power in Germany.
The idea that socialism/communism and fascism/nazism are on opposite ends of the political spectrum is a fallacy. The core of both ideologies is totalitarianism. They are more similar than they are different
I'm a fan of the word "totalitarian." As in people who want maximum federal control of as much as they can possibly manage, and through whichever branch of government they can control. And when they can't legally manage to get even more control, they threaten or subsidize the private sector to do the work for them. Think "Twitter Files."Convenient misuse of a term meant to insult by the young malleables of similar philosophies that at the end just means total control.
