My daughter (BS at FSU, MS and PhD at UC San Diego) just got offered an associate professor position at UConn in the Molecular and Cell Biology division. She’s currently doing a post doc at Johns Hopkins and that ends in June so this is exciting news. She interviewed at 5 different schools but UConn was her favorite.

Pretty excited for her. Been a long road of schooling.

Getting a tenured position straight out of postdoc is seriously impressive. I am always happy to see a fellow UC grad do well. Fiat lux!

Yeah I think I mistyped in my excitement. She's an assistant professor, not associate. She'll have tenure in 6 years.
