Excellent piece on Rae Carruth son, who was in utero when his dad and accomplices attacked his mom. A bit of a tear jerker....the boy has cerebral palsy now and has a grandmother that takes care of him. Of course, Carruth has no money to help.

Very sad story. I lived in Charlotte when this happened. Had even met Carruth a time or two. Tragic to say the least

Tragic is getting hit by a car, this was an act of pure evil!! He apparently threatened to do it to another ex girlfriend that got pregnant...

I went to high school with his girlfriend before the one he killed. Could have easily been her. He was always combing the local high schools for chicks during his time at CU.

Except unlike Hernandez the locals DA didn't fall all over themselves protecting him. AH has already have the photo of him with the gun and all the text messages removed, he might not even be convicted.
