I was shocked when they said he was 88! I had no idea he was that old. Jeez, he was 12 years old when I was born, and I'm REALLY old!

Edit: He was actually 15! Yay, I'm not as old as I thought!

He was quoted once saying "Other people singing my songs sound way better than me singing them"
Also a helicopter pilot and rugby player. To get his first song recorded, he landed a helicopter on Johnny Cash's lawn and gave him a tape.
