Sad day in Texas today

Dr. Pepper hasn't been a Texas company for a long time. Until this week's transaction, they were owned by a British company for over 20 years. Now a German company has taken control.

Those damn k cups never decompose and neither they nor consumers give a damn...

Actually the owner said that was one of his greatest regrets. They are working on a bio version I think, but you are correct, the consumers don't seem to care.

--edit--- he did of course say this once he had become a multi-millionare. Its so much easier to take the moral high ground and do the "right" thing when you are rich.

By "swill", you mean nectar of the Gods, yes?

As a true Texan, the only acceptable response when asked if Mr. Pibb is okay instead of DR. Pepper is "I only have Monopoly money to pay, will that work?"

Dr. Pepper Ham at Easter.....so good. However, the Dr. Pepper wing sauce a Plucker's no es bueno.

Only in Texas are people this passionate about sugary sodas.
Explains 32% of the state being obese.

I remember the day we moved out of Texas, while waiting for the moving van I hit the soda machine and it gave me a Dr pepper instead of a Coke. Even as a kid who thought of the rare soda as a treat I couldn't drink it. Tried to give it to my brothers but they wanted nothing to do with it either.

Probably good that you moved out of Texas.
