This is going on this week. I'm too late obviously, but I'm thinking about taking the daughter (too young, no pics) to it next year. She's into some of the different things that would be highlighted there - mostly the Marvel universe movies and TV show, and also the DC Comics and Star Trek movies. I think she'll have a good time, but it seems like a super-packed event.

I saw that the largest convention room where they'll have sessions seats 6,500 people. That's pretty big. It looks like it takes up the entire convention center facility, including the outside.

Anyone here every been to the San Diego Comic Con? Thoughts? Did you enjoy it? Would you go again? Was it so crowded that it wasn't enjoyable?
 
Not my thing so never been, but why not just take her to the one in Tampa?
That'd still be a 2hr plane ride for me (give or take). Plus, the San Diego one is the big daddy of comic book conventions. The interweb says that last year there were 167,000 attendees. That sounds like a pretty big scene. With that many people, I'm bound to run into a few hot stormtroopers.
