So my 9 yr old basbeall team concluded the regular season last night and the double elimination tourney begins Saturday. It was pointed out to me by a team parent that coaches from other teams were there to scout us. He asked if I would scout as well, my answer "no b/c I have a life".

Men in their 40's scouting 9 yr old baseball, that is flat out sad. Please tell me no dad here does this.

If we're in a tournament and we have time between games and the team we play next is playing, then I will watch some of it to see if I can pick on some tendencies to point out to the kids. But, there is no way in hell I will make a conscious effort to find out what time a team plays and drive to the park to "scout"....that's insane and sad.

Watching the next team while killing time in between = totally fine. These guys did not have any reason to be there and watched a 2 hour game...sheesh.

Funny part is my team finished 12-2 while they were 7-7 yet have been coaching for many more seasons. Guess I'm just that much better!
