Florida State opens fast on offense. The Seminoles drive 75 yards on 13 plays on the first possession, mixing four short passes to TE Morlock, WR Coleman, RB Benson and a 6-yard TD pass from Jordan Travis to Johnny Wilson. There were nine runs in the drive, includng three by Travis for 13 yards. The Seminoles converted a two point conversion with a little trickanery by former quarterback turned tight end/linebacker Brian Coutrney running it in to take an 8-0 lead.
