FSU (14-9, 5-7) had a bye this week and will play at Wake Forest (18-6, 10-3) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Seminoles needed the break, considering the emotions of Leonard Hamilton's announcement last Monday as well as the status of Taylor Bol Bowen (concussion) and Jerry Deng (ankle). Hamilton commented about both on the weekly zoom with ACC football coaches this morning.

"I think Taylor will be prepared for the next game," Hamilton said. "I’m not sure about Jerry Deng. He’s not back 100 percent. Still having a little swelling in his ankle. It's kind of interesting that we've had to deal with that, but I think hopefully that has made us a little stronger, a little more focused, realize how fragile things can be. Hopefully we'll be able to come back together and play well against Wake Forest."

The quality of FSU's depth has been a storyline throughout the year, but that's been magnified in January and February with various injuries. Chandler Jackson and AJ Swinton also missed games, although both have returned.

I'll have some more notes tomorrow ahead of the Wake game.
