Look- I get it. This young man is maybe the only reason we haven't lost 2 games this season. He's the best talent on the field and is a true leader.
That said, it's that much more important to protect him. In his last 9 quarters of play, he has pulled up on the same hamstring four times. It is clearly not healing fast, and we could potentially lose him for more than we would just by sitting him 1-2 weeks.
The next two games, especially GT, are not cakewalks, but they are definitely more manageable than November. If Cook were to pull up bad in the next two weeks and we lose him for Clemson, they are going to murder us. If we miss him for UF, we might not score many points.
I don't want to sit him more than anyone else but I'd rather lose him for 1-2 games than 4 or more.
