Can you fix them? I have a blower that's about five years old. It's been running sluggish all Spring and finally crapped the bed.

I watched a youtube video on how to fix it. I replaced the fuel lines, the fuel filter and cleaned out the carburetor. Buttoned it all up and it started righted up. I'm pretty psyched...

I find myself going to youtube a lot before repairs and most of the time there is a tip or two that makes things much easier.

For sure. I put a backsplash in my kitchen a few weeks ago. Never would have attempted it without the how to vids on youtube...

That's not a repair. That's a tune up. Nice job though, most people cant do that.

About to change the water pump on my car thanks to youtube. 20 years ago I would do a lot of repairs on cars. But mainly on 1960's or 1970's cars. Those were pretty easy to work on. On newer cars it seems like you have to take half the engine apart to replace something. The Youtube video showed it wasn't too bad. And it will save big $$$ than paying a shop to do it.

I had to learn when I had my construction companies to keep the equipment working for the crews. Most are really simple. Check for fuel, air and spark. Figure which one is faulty and fix the problem.

laid ceramic tile floor, changed a cieling fan, built a workbench and some raised beds. swapped out toilets and vanities. thats about it.

youtube is great for repairs. Fixed my pool's heat pump electrical issue after watching a youtube video. I think I saved about $400 by not hiring an electrician.

On small engines, it's usually just a matter of taking the carburetor apart and cleaning it out. Plus those primer bulb fuel lines don't like ethanol.

My small engine "repair" last weekend involved my push lawnmower. The throttle cable snapped, so I improvised. I disconnected the spring that opens the carb (I don't fully understand what the spring does - I think it "opens" the carburetor by moving this lever when you pull back the cable. Sounds legit). So with the spring disconnected the "carb opener thingy" was free to move open and shut. I could now just push it open, and it cranked up and ran. Problem was, the vibration of the mower made it eventually wiggle back closed. I needed some way to keep it open. Solution? Use my wife's hair tie to hold it open. My wife got a good laugh out of that fix.

YouTube videos are awesome. Our pool light corroded. From YouTube we replaced wiring and light and hooked it up. Major ordeal for me, I feel like I can do anything if there's a instructional video.

OMG, since the advent of youtube I'm like Mr. Goodwrench. Well, always had been with the ladies ...

Replaced a thermal fuse on my dryer, a pressure switch on my furnace (that's a device used in colder climes to heat a house), and several auto repairs.

Most recently, I did do a small engine repair. Replaced the ignition module on my lawnmower. Ordered the part from Amazon, too. Replaced the fuel line and control cable also, both extremely simple and no help needed there. Never could start her warm, now she restarts fine.
