So Steph Curry and several other NBAers don't believe we landed on the moon

I’d dispute that he’s a dumb guy or moron.

Other than this moon thing, which is a big strike if he really believed it, he hasn’t ever said or done much to come off as a moron. If anything he’s come off as one of the more put together players in the league.

You only need this one thing to be a moron, and I dont believe he was just kidding. That doesnt make him a bad person or not put together, just doesnt make him that bright.

I think we're getting carried away labeling people moron for believing one kooky thing.

At the same time, I do agree that folks should be ridiculed for believing in this type of conspiracy theory crap.
Too many folks have started believing stupid, anti-science type stuff and try to get away with it being valid b/c it's "their opinion" without being called out for believing something asinine.

"Obviously I was joking when I was talking on the podcast," Curry told ESPN. "[Then] I was silently protesting how stupid it was that people actually took that quote and made it law as, 'Oh my God, he's a fake-moon-landing truther,' whatever you want to call it, yada, yada, yada. So I was silently protesting that part about it, how the story took a life of its own.

"But in terms of the reaction that I've gotten, I am definitely going to take [NASA] up on their offer. I am going to educate myself firsthand on everything that NASA has done and shine a light on their tremendous work over the years. And hopefully people understand that education is power, informing yourself is power. For kids out there that hang on every word that we say, which is important, understand that you should not believe something just because somebody says it. You should do your homework and understand what you actually believe."

His quote about kids believing whatever their favorite famous personalities say applies even more to adults. Too many people are out there believing any damn thing crackpot fringe folks on TV say.
