Watching Coach Norvel’s offenses at Memphis gave me the impression they were tightly run, well reasoned units. I understand perhaps the rigor and discipline has not been embedded into FSU’s offense yet. So it is understandable that sloppy play is just going to be part of early stages in the adoption process.
But what I cannot reconcile is the bone headed game day calls. I do not recall any questionable game day calls while he was at Memphis. In fact, quite the opposite. His teams always seemed to have an identity and a plan and they executed the plan. And this Isn’t the type of thing is step function more difficult from one level to the next.
I am really hoping that he has delegated too much to Dillingham and will pull it back.
