When I first heard about this movie I was interested but thought it would fall into the "Saw" category a genre of movies I am not too interested in. By chance it was playing on HBO and thought I would give it a chance since it was PG-13 and figured I could always turn it off if too rough. While I would not put it in the "great" movie category, I did found it very good and entertaining watching James McAvoy hit this acting softball out of the park as well as one of the abducted girls, Anya Taylor-Joy who does a fantastic job as well. There is an ending that begs for a squeal and if they decide to make it which I suspect they will, consider me hooked.....surprise???

I am hit or miss on M. Nights films with probably more misses than hits. But I would have to admit Split and The Visit (everything except the final 60 seconds, smh) have been worth watching to get ones creepy fix without having to drudge through a lot of gore.

The doctor pissed me off, other than that a good movie.

Never even heard about it. Might have to look into it. Agree on some of them being hit or miss, but I actually liked Signs among others that seem to bother some people.

I liked it a lot, thought it was pretty gate. I have a soft spot for M Night. Really love Sixth Sense and like Signs a lot. Even as his movies got worse, there was some stuff I couldn't help but like, and I followed him quite a ways down before bailing.

I think he's got an immense amount of talent for presenting and framing images onscreen and creating atmosphere. I always thought he was a guy who's potential was hurt by the commitment to being an auteur and insisting on everything being 100% his own original work. I feel the same way about Tarantino. Sometimes you're just out of good ideas, and putting your excellent directing skills to play on someone else's material would have yielded some brilliant films.

I'm glad to see his comeback, although I didn't like The Visit as much as many people did.

M Night's a good story teller. He just needs someone to tell him if the foundation of the idea behind the movie is terrible or not.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Unbreakable universe's next film.

Watched it yesterday on HBO. Was surprised how much I liked it. Really thought it was intriguing and an interesting look at a different bad guy so to speak. Wife wants to watch it so may check it out again tonight. Ending made it almost need to have a sequel. If not why do that? Almost like he has it planned but wanted to see reaction of movie before he writes it down.

There is going to be a sequel. It was announced a month or two ago. Called "Glass"

Basically a sequel to Unbreakable and Split.

I saw Split here recently..................crazy movie. The lead brown hair girl was in another awesome movie.

I think my wife would like it but she is holding a firm stance on not watching it due to the subject matter.
