Updated Story on Wilcox extension
Warchant has confirmed Florida State athletic director Stan Wilcox has agreed to a contract extension to keep him at the school into 2020.
Wilcox became the 11th full-time athletic director in school history when he was hired in August 2013.
During his time at Florida State, the school captured a football national championship in 2013 among other successes. FSU finished 12th in the Learfield Sports Athletic Director's Cup in his first season. The Seminoles were 24th for the 2015-16 standings.
Earlier this year, Wilcox and the school extended contract extensions to women's basketball coach Sue Semrau, men's basketball coach Leonard Hamilton and baseball coach Mike Martin.
Upon his arrival, Wilcox inked a five-year deal with FSU through the summer of 2018.
