So, I've never really seen the movies the way they have been designed...at least I think I haven't.

I saw the original three when I was kid. And have seen 2 of the more recent 3, not sure if I saw in the right order.

So I remember hearing there was an awesome way to watch the series that had you not watching one at all.

So tell me...in what order is the absolute best way to watch for a person that has never seen?

I guess 1-6 would be the most logical?????

For those that haven't seen any of the movies I would watch them in order of their theatrical release:
4-6
1-3

By watching them in 'natural' order the surprise of the Luke/ Vader relationship is ruined (among other things).

the order to watch with the prequels is 4,5,1,2,3,6. This way you get 2 movies where Vadar is an actual bad ass and you believe it. If you watch 1,2,3 first, you think Vadar is just some whiney POS that is more dumb than scary. How a guy like that could rule the galaxy just doesn't work.

You only should watch these movies in Machete Order. If you watch in number order, movie #3 ruines the biggest reveal in movie history.

IV, V, II, III, then VI (known as Machete Order)

This method you act like episode 1 never existed. It actually adds very little to the whole story arc.

This is the only way to watch these movies. Did this with my now 9 year old son a year ago. He was totally in and the reveal was epic.

Okay, this is the order I may have heard of awhile back. I'll do this way.

Enjoy!

Sorry I cannot link to this in my phone but here is the explanation as to why episode order and chronological order viewing should be replaced with Machete Order.

This is how I will entroduce the films to my son when he's old enough. I'm not going with the Machete varient because (sadly) he will love JarJar and the pod racing.
