I don't know. I believe lifetime has the rights to that story already.
They totally addressed her past and why she moved to Hawkins during the scene with her and Lucas talking on top of the bus.
Minus the side story I loved this season so much more. I wish they hadn't sacrificed screen time for the Mike and Hopper character as they are at least compelling to the 11 story line.
The cliff hangers were much better this season. That kid playing Will can do strange things with his face when he screams.
Yeah, the whole Max/Billy thing under delivered. That's why I say there's got to be something much bigger for those characters that they're waiting for next season on. They essentially used this year as their introductions and maybe next year we'll get their reveals.I don't disagree on Mike necessarily, but Hopper is awesome. That was an awesome character and performance this year...I'm fine with as much Hopper as they want to give.
I thought the biggest waste of screen time was Max's brother. Seemed unnecessary and superfluous to have to shoe horn in a human villain. And he didn't really come into play in a way that justified his existence.
I can't see the Duffers bringing in those characters as simple plot moving devices. Max felt like a forced character to creat drama amongst the boys. I believe she'll be much more of a factor moving forward. As for Billy. I have no idea what could possibly be story arc for him unless he's going to be given powers from mind flayer and go green goblin on them.
Not really. There's a little bit of knowledge you'd get from it, but for the most part it's subtle and the parts that matter, they explain such as the "true sight" bit.Feels like I'm almost at a disadvantage with this show having never gotten in to D&D.
I see a lot of people not happy with the side track episode with her sister. I kind of liked it but recall being a bit disconcerted with it. Watching it a second time and I realized it is because a combination of bad acting and too cliche 80s punk wannabes. Outside of the sister, the rest of crew were average to poor actors, especially the guy, and the nostalgic 80s vibe was way off.Agree with the minority who liked season 1 better, I was pretty disappointed in season 2. Outside of the 80s nostalgia which I absolutely loved, I think it's pretty weak as a sci-fi/horror show. There wasn't much original about it at all IMO.
The interaction between Murray(?) and
Nancy/Jonathan was unnecessary and creepy. Felt like he was directing an underage porno.
Chapter 7 with 11's lost sister was a complete waste/filler episode with a gang of caricatures.
Billy should have played a more important role in the plot considering he was basically a Terminator.
Tip of the cap to the soundtrack including Lauoer, Metallica and The Police!

It would still be a filler episode, or at the very least, it didn't work at all as a stand-alone.Gonna feel silly when 8's back in season three helping find the other 9 of them. Just sayin.
why does this person exist?!

I'm waiting for the reveal that Hopper's daughter is still alive and the lab also experimented on her. Maybe she turns out to be alive or connected to the "mindflayer" in some way.The Billy Arc you described seems like a foregone conclusion. As is the fan theory that the “mindflayer” is really a “lost” experiment similar to Eleven. I’d practically write those in stone.
I would guess once the time jump happens (2-4 years in the universe time and they may take a real year off to allow the actors to age up) he will become more of a “big bad”.
What in the hell are you grodie dweeb doofushead's talking about?Nancy may be too much a woman of the world for Mr. Score. Eleven and Max more his type.

Can someone re explain the mind flayer concept to me?
Went a little over my head to me as I was watching. Prob bc freakin Dustin explained it
So was the mind flayer the thing/virus inside Will? They designed the mind flayer before realizing that it matched up really well with a D&D concept. it’s just a bad guy that controls all its attack dogs through a hive mind. The main bad guy confrols all the demi-dogs.
Yes, I watched Beyond Stranger Things while my flight was delayed.
Just finished it last nigh! I agree on the 2nd season being better than the 1st. I really really like the first season, it was everything that made the 80's awesome and scary. I think they really nailed in season 2!
Things I didn't understand...How did Riser's character not get @dead? The whole trip for El to Chicago,it was awesome, but... maybe it'll add some context for season 3.
He was needed in order to wipe 11's past clean and at the end of the show in the dinner gives Hopper a new falsified birth certificate.
I get that, but correct me if I am off, it been a minute since I have watched...
He was in the TV room, then he was randomly in the hall with a wound like he was attacked. Those demogorgons, had no mercy, but he survives? Didn't seem to vibe. I'm glad he did, I enjoyed his character.
