We can now stop the WHAT IF - FSU loses to Charleston Southern threads. After a 41-7 win (I had 45-13), the Seminoles get their second win of the season. The fact that FSU took so long to score was not a good look but it is not how you start it is how you finish. FSU is now 1-0. The Seminoles season should have started with Charleston Southern at home and not in Ireland. I am sure when Jerry and crew were in Dublin they did not think they would still be hungover from and FSU loss. The Seminoles went out and beat a very bad FCS program.

Hykeem did for one play. 2 Catches for 35 yards and a touchdown. I really think that Hykeem will have a break out season with a new receiver coach. He has talent but like everyone on the roster, Williams has not looked good. Get back Destyn Hill from injury, add Brandon Innis and Dohntay Cook and the receiver corps looks much improved.
What about BJ Gibson. I was a fan of his commitment last year. 2 catches for only 14 yards but it was nice to see him get into a game and make a couple of catches. In HS his film reminded me of Preston Parker.
Tight End Room - Landen Thomas/Amaree Williams - 4 catches -47 yards and a touchdown. Thomas looks like the real deal. He made a great catch down the middle of the field. Both need to live in the weight room this off-season. I want Williams to actually physically look like a P5 player. STORMS - These two have great potential Better build them up.
Luke - Someone asked on another thread if I thought Luke fit the Brennan Marion offense - I can't really answer the question. I am not sure he is a fit for any offense right now. Once again, head down, not looking at the rush, missed passes. He has talent. That is not something that I can deny but for someone the networks had close to a 5 star - Think they missed that evaluation. DJ Lagway that is a five star. Arch Manning that is a five star. You command the field as a five star and can play as a freshman. I am not sure if Luke can play next year. Good news is with a new QB coach is most likely coming in to work with him. Luke needs to process quicker.
RB - Kam Davis - He had 9 rushes. I was hoping to see him around 15-20 carries. He is a back that needs volume....Give him the rock and let him run the ball. Cazaiah Holmes - why...why is he taking carries away from the young guys. Wish Holmes well, he should have played LB in college. Will miss Toafilli...If FSU had more kids like him they don't go 1-9 this year heading into the final two games.
Ja'Kahi Douglas - One of the last holdovers of the Willy Taggart era....Douglas had 3 catches for 82 yards and a TD. I feel this kid could have given any program much more. Another one who never seemed to complain and produced when given the shot. I believe it was the win over Miami 4th and 14 game where Douglas had some big plays.
While the opponent was not very good it seemed like the defense did not look lost. Jackson and Payton were too much for Charleston Southern. These two got to the QB.

I am still not sold on Napier. Watch the game yesterday and Napier tried to give the game away. When you have a running game and a defense it is crazy how many more games you can win.
Lane Kiffin - LOL. Lane Kiffin is is a fad diet. He helps turn your team around but let’s be real, you never are winning anything worth anything. Kiffin is not some great coach. Honestly He is overrated. Every fan base wants him as their head coach until he is actually their head coach. Kiffin can keep passing the ball. How about you run the ball at some point. Bama -Part 2 - Paul Finebaum is going to argue with everyone how Alabama as a 3 loss team is better than Boise and their one loss this week. Next week when they lose to Auburn it will be their 4 losses is better than Indiana one loss. Playing the SEC should not guarantee you a spot in the playoffs even if you go 6-6 just because you think your program is better than a 1 loss team. Alabama is not worthy of being in the playoffs this year. They had one great half against Georgia. They were down to USF. These experts forget that.
UGA and Bama now have a combined five losses. Not sure they have that many losses in the past 2-3 years combined. Bama is now in the new world of college football. One where you are no longer guaranteed of wins every week. Deboer is a good coach but I said how many years their fans are going to be ok with not winning a NC. He gets a mulligan this year but they will expect a playoff appearance next year. Coach Deboer -you may want to call Washington and ask for your job back.

Lincoln Riley - Big fan of him as a coach but OU and Riley maybe better off with a reunion. He just does not seem to fit at USC. I stayed up for their win against UCLA. He actually found a defense. His QB thinks he is Caleb but the 20 yard sacks on 3rd down bring back memories of EJ Manuel.
Ohio State vs. Indiana - The Hoosiers came out and threw the first big punch - 7-0 and momentum. They looked good. Then the game seemed too big for them. You have to be in those types of games before you actually win one. Indiana had a 3rd and 1....False start - Then you take a sack on the next play. Indiana 7-7 and you are going into halftime in a good spot....Nah, dropped punt and Ohio State gets the ball on the 5. Touchdown and it is now 14-7. You come out of the half....BAM...Punt return for a TD. - Down 21-7 -Game over. Even with one loss IU deserves to be in the playoffs. Let’s reward teams for actually winning games. Sorry Alabama. UF actually deserves to be in the playoffs more than Alabama. They have played a hard schedule and finished strong. That being said IU needs to be in the final bracket.
NOTRE DAME - The echoes of Knute Rockne are being heard. They have one loss....a bad one to NIU. Watch them play and there may not be a team playing better right now. They can run the ball and play defense. That carries well in a playoff system.
FSU coaching search - I am going to keep putting out names for offensive coordinators. That being said Marion looks to be the guy. Look for him to be named even if UNLV is still playing come this time two weeks from now.
