Here's our story: Sweat to declare for NFL draft, will skip bowl

Here are some follow up team nuggets:

* In addition to Sweat and James, Tarvarus McFadden was not seen practicing on Friday. We haven't confirmed that he's declaring for the draft and skipping the bowl but it wouldn't be surprising. It's possible he could be injured, finishing up a final or had another issue keeping him out of practice.

* Wide receiver Auden Tate and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi did practice on Friday. That's means both are expected to play in the bowl game. It's also a positive sign that Tate may be leaning to returning for his senior season.

* We've been told that quarterback Deondre Francois is "way ahead" of schedule with his rehab. He was moving around quite a bit during Friday's practice (not actually practicing) and looked very fluid. My source says he still doubts he will be full-go this spring to practice (precaution) but could do some stuff on a limited basis.

I was also informed that Francois is really hitting it off with Willie Taggart and they are a good fit together. It's no secret that his relationship with Jimbo Fisher was strained at times.

* Friday's practice had a totally different vibe compared to those run by Jimbo Fisher the past few years. Was told the environment was "unrecognizable" with modern music being pumped into the IPF and a much looser attitude prevailing. Apparently there was a lot more smiles and a more positive attitude among the players.
