Totally get it and am still surprised we held onto her as long as we did. Her ceiling is far higher than anything she can achieve in Tallahassee, sadly. Best of luck to her as we’ll definitely miss her.
Via a source: There is optimism that FSU can retain Latson. But there’s also the understanding that programs with deep pockets will throw an NIL number at Ta’Niya and perhaps tie that in with some advertising deals that will help her build her brand.
I don’t think of Latson as selfish. She’s been great for this program. The best point guard or guard in FSU’s history. And she’s improved with each year. But it is an open market and a wild one with revenue sharing potentially to come on April 7 plus NIL mixed in as ways for programs to put a considerable offer on the table for an athlete.

Totally agree, Bob, and especially share your thoughts on her being unselfish. If anything, I’d say she’s one of the more unselfish stars we’ve had.
This is starting to feel like a couple years ago when Puisis, Jones, Baldwin, Weber etc all entered the portal.

Have enjoyed watching all of these players, but, once you enter the portal the door should close. Time to find their replacement!
My understanding is that Latson really wants to play for a championship. If that's her driving motivation, she really needs to pick carefully. At FSU, she is definitely the big fish but at some other schools that are constantly playing for the title, she could see her role diminishing. Not saying she isn't great, but they are more loaded with similar greatness.
