I’ve been through hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes and this “tornados microburst”. This is like the tornados microburst we saw in 2010 in CT.
It looks like a war zone. RR2 is destroyed.
I was up at 545. The pressure was super low. I had the back door open that thing came in so fast and left within 2 hours or less, leaving most people south of I 10 without power.
A friend of mine’s truck had its rear window blown out. Others have much more damage, trees in houses, on houses, etc. cars on houses.
We have a lot of dogs in the neighborhood and they began freaking out around 645am, right before the microburst arrived.
At least here, the out of town crews can get here faster than in CT. They’ve arrived and they’re already working. More are supposed to arrive, but we had some outrageous number of substations blown out, all needing transformers.
That’s what I have to report from off Park Avenue in the dark.
