Both Latson and Timpson led the Seminoles scoring with eight points each in the first half, but NC State started out with the 51-31 lead.

The Noles started the third quarter strong with six-point run followed by a nine-point run while holding the Wolfpack to 42 percent shooting.

On Thursday, Florida State will face Louisville (17-7, 10-3 ACC) on Sue Semrau Night at the Tucker Center at 6 p.m. The game will air on the ACC Network Extra.

FSU coach Brooke Wyckoff postgame:

"That wasn't us out there. NC State is a really good basketball team. They came out focused and ready to go and we couldn't figure it out. Especially in the first half, that wasn't who we are. I know that when we play like who we are on both ends of the floor, we're a really good basketball team. That's what gives me hope."
