I enjoyed Grand Budapest Hotel and Life Aquatic and that’s it. I can understand why some people would hate everything he does. He is bizarre for bizarreness’ sake not necessarily just in service of the story.

I loved the Last Jedi. What was so funny about this trailer wasn't it's points about the movie as much as it's points about the two different star wars fanbases. It's rare that someone says, it was a pretty good movie. It was either the worst thing ever and destroyed the entire canon or it was amazing.

I think the Last Jedi is behind Empire, Rogue One, & A New Hope.

My opinion is:

Empire 10/10
Rogue One 10/10
Star Wars (I will NOT call it ANH) 8/10
Force Awakens 7/10
Return of the Jedi 7/10
Phantom Menace 3/10
Clone Wars 1/10
Revenge of the Sith 1/10

I get that baby Anakin is terrible and Jar Jar’s fart jokes and slapstick are also terrible unless they had followed through and made him a hidden evil Sith Lord, but it had some really great things as well (the Liam of Neasons, podRacing, art design on Naboo and the Naboo ships, Darth Maul light sabre fight, “there’s always a bigger fish”, R2 as a hero, seeing the Galactic Senate and capitol planet, etc... Meanwhile the two other prequels were just unrelentingly boring and uninteresting.

If you add George Lucas’ old man cultural stereotypes for the voices and characterization of the aliens Ep 1-3 are gold
