The Official LR College Gameday Drinking Game Thread!

In other news, the Hoos are up on miamah at the half 21-14. Please hold up, UVA. Pull for the trifecta as the team from the east goes down as well to the mighty Blazers of UAB...

I can’t believe that’s real.

Haha, glad I’m not a gambler.

I wonder what that does to the bets. Vegas sometimes vacates bets. Bet they wait to see how it turns out. What was the over?

Has anyone ever seen this before??? I haven't. Weather, etc. sure, but not just hey let's change the time.

Maybe we can agree with the Gators to play 7 on 7.
My brother Pat was saying the other day that we could be in for an epic clown show between those two. Based on the performances to date you gotta appreciate how poorly they could perform as a pair, he said. Who could argue with his reasoning?

I’m still fascinated by the fact that they went to 10-minute quarters and a running clock.

I feel like that’s a decision the coaches might make in my 12-year old stepson’s soccer league if the first half score was too lopsided.

How is that a thing in major college football?

We did the same thing against Savannah St. a few years back. That final score would have been worse than today if it hadn't been called early due to thunderstorms.

It is kinda obvious that it needed to be done. Noles played all reserves ( I think ) in the second half.
I have seen the running clock before, but cannot ever remember seeing shortened quarters...

uf held UAB to 19 total yards of offense in the first half. The gates aren't lighting up the scoreboard themselves but only giving up 19 yards is impressive regardless the competition.

Don't shoot the messenger, but IMO the goats dominating a 7-3 FBS squad 33-0 after three quarters is far more impressive than us beating a glorified high school team.

We've done a lot of losing with it this year. Win with it too

"After Florida State’s 77-6 win over Delaware State, Jimbo Fisher explained why he benched wide receiver Nywan Murray during the Seminoles blowout victory.

Murray had 4 catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. But after his touchdown, Murray was hit with a 15 yard penalty for excessive celebration.

“Go sit down, that’s ridiculous,” is what Fisher told Murray after the play. “I love him, he’s great, but I don’t believe in humiliation - that’s just something we don’t tolerate.”

Murray’s touchdown came with 7:34 to go in the second quarter. He did not play another snap after the penalty. It’s unlikely he’ll miss any more time.

“He’ll be fine, we punished him, he sat the rest of the game, but that’s not necessary. Score a touchdown, hand the ball to the official and act like you’ve been there before,” Fisher said

Isn’t this UABs first season playing again after a few years hiatus?

Yes...They've had an amazing season. Can't believe HC Bill Clark gets no mention for all these opening jobs in the South.

She looked 20 years older than that during game.

Smarty prop glasses - they worked for Superman too.

Jimbo's like....

What do you think he'll say about Francois, assuming the media actually asks him about it?

That, if it was DF in those snap post, he gave him permission to be away from the team.

I've said it elsewhere, but unless there was an immediate family emergency, or a doctor's visit that could only happen at game-time for whatever reason, a scholarship (having an entire education paid for by the school) athlete should absolutely be present at the school's function that serves that scholarship.

Given who Francois was with, too, makes me think there's much more to it than just Jimbo saying "meh, I told him to take a day off".
