Hallelujah y'all! We have made it to the end of this stupid war. Well it better be the end or I'm flipping tables.

Who I want to die: Gregory, Eugene, Henry, all Savior Leadership.

Who I think will die: A bunch of no name extras, Gabriel and Aaron maybe.

And a teased Rick death cliffhanger.

What I hope for season 9 is coming back months later, showing how life is being rebuilt. Where the danger is walkers again and not having to fight another group of bad people. And then the finale of 9 can tease The Whisperers.

My predictions:

Eugene turns back to the good guys & makes a bunch of defective bullets that allow Rick's group to win the war tonight.

None of the major characters die, but probably a couple of mid-level characters are gone (maybe Tara, Rosita, or Enid; Dwight; Aaron; possibly the King and/or the big dude that's his bodyguard)

Negan living is a lock.

I'm not interested in another Eugene turn. And they would be stupid to let him back. Cowards are going to coward.

Jerry (the bodyguard) can not die. He's one of the only people who makes me smile. I'd be fine with Tara dying. I used to like her quirkiness, but like most of the characters, the show writers have messed her up.

Essentially this show is being claimed to have been written like a series finale. Supposedly all the major storylines from the last 8 years get wrapped up and they hope to take the show in a new direction with next season.

At some point I would like to see the government show back up trying to reestablish civilization and explore what that might look like.

I think Eugene is the big winner in this episode. He'll set the stage for a Savior defeat by making defective bullets and probably further redeem himself by getting wounded saving Rosita and /or delivering the worker bee Saviors into the integrated community.

I'm guessing more stupidity such as Eugene completely burying himself in like 5 seconds to avoid being caught, continued horrific marksmanship from Rick and co., everything leading up to the big 'battle' with that being next seasons 1st episode...oh, and maybe they could bring back that really cool looking deer from a few seasons ago..

I'm expecting a lot of the moaning and gnashing of teeth to come from the audience. Maybe they will prove me wrong. :)

Rick is the dumbest leader ever. How many traps has he led his people into?

This show is still on? Good heavens how can you make a 9 season show about fake rotting corpses.

Oh you poor writers.

So you dedicate about 3 episodes to the “cover your weapons in guts and it makes anyone you hit sick” storyline..... Rick takes a shot to the gut with a germ soaked barbed wire bat which gives him a bad enough wound to bleed through his shirt. And he doesn’t get sick.

It was about what I expected with less deaths. Maggie going to the Dark side was a bit out there.
I don't like pitting the family against each other. And I still don't care about Eugene.

Sure was a really accurate throat-slitting Rick did with a piece of stained glass. Just enough to incapacitate yet not enough that their rudimentary medicine counldn’t save neegan.

Overall, not a bad finale. Predictable, but enjoyable. Negan had to stay around and his character is more entertaining than Rick at this point. When Rick slashed his throat, I was not happy with that, thinking him dead but apparently Rick is an expert with glass and knew Negan wouldn't die. Only real negative is Maggie's turn and if Jesus does as well considering his whole no death thing.

Maggie to the dark side is totally understandable but equally unbelievable.
And Jesus nodding in agreement despite his whole Morganesque crusade to not kill people...and Rick's "brother" Daryl coming in agreement.

My gut says there isn't much to this aside from them getting to Negan and doing what they think Rick should have done--kill Negan. If they turn on Rick, this show's definitely jumped the shark.

Having Jesus conspire with Maggie to kill Negan makes no sense at all after what he's been preaching for the last season.

All I see is the same characters as empty vessels repeating the same story lines. We get them all back next season and don't see anything changing soon. I had hoped the rumors were true that this show was going to reboot but I don't think it will work with these characters who have suffered too much bad writing for far too long. I may change my mind but at this time don't believe I can spend any more time watching this show with the amount of well done content in the industry.

I already miss the show. With Game of Thrones not coming back for another year, my Sunday nights are going to be empty. I guess I can still hate watch Fear.

For an "all out war" it seemed very anti-climactic. I am interested to see the Maggie v. Rick story play out next season. I thought I read that she is having a contract dispute so I wonder if they eventually write her off the show.

Maybe Rick finds out about Maggie's plot and smashes her over the head with Lucille.

I thought fear the walking dead was awesome and I haven' seen the last 2 seasons plus.

The finale was pretty good too imo.

I actually loved this episode, and found it very moving in a few places (Something I haven't felt from this show in years) until the end with the Maggie/Daryl/Jesus grouping. That sucked the life out of the show and also just seemed totally ridiculous. Horrible writing there, and that better not become the direction the show takes next year or I will be done.

I can understand Maggie being mad and wanting to see Negan dead. I hate what they've done with Daryl's character. With that said, I could have been ok with that conversation just being like Maggie, Daryl, and maybe Rosita, but to have Jesus there nodding alone as if that fits his character at all is just terrible writing and completely unbelievable.

Daryl used to be interesting but no longer.

Maggie looked silly sitting behind the big desk acting the villain.

I thought overall the episode was pretty good - though I agree somewhat anti-climactic for an "all-out war" that's been building for 2 seasons. Was a little surprised to not have some appearance by the mystery chopper, and agree that the ending wasn't good (especially with Jesus involved in that meeting, it's 100% opposite what his character has always been).

I liked the Fear episode that followed - thought it was very well-done & more like the early seasons of TWD. I've never watched any of that show, might pick it up now.

The end of the war was fairly anti-climatic in the comics as well.

I also agree that Daryl is now a useless character, which sucks because there was a time that he was the best. It's like the writers have gotten so focused on Negan, the war, and making gross zombies that they actually forgot who their characters were and what made them work.

Daryl needs someone to mentor and take care of again. Those episodes when he was helping someone overcome great trauma were where he really shines. I don't like surly, grumpy Daryl though. And I just can't get over how terrible the Maggie/Jesus villain combo is. Easily the worst writing this shows ever had as it just doesn't make any sense, ruined the whole tone of the episode, and just made people grumpy.

From the looks of her, the baby will weigh 3 ounces.

Any guy who's ever been around a pregnant chick knows how ridiculously moody they can be. Last night she wanted to kill Negan & is pissed at Rick; on next year's season opener she'll cry for a bit, then be lovey-dovey with both of them.

Every pregnant chick I ever knew at least looked pregnant.

No reason to watch the old seasons of FOTWD, they weren’t very good and this is basically a soft reboot taking place years after the events of the first seasons. The end of last season occurred roughly around the same time as when Rick is waking up in the hospital at the start of season one of TWD. This season takes place after the events of the Savior War so we’re talking a three maybe four year jump forward.

Question for those who pay closer attention to things than I; fairly late in the Fear episode last night, Morgan was trying to catch up to a walker (it was after he'd been shot in the leg, the weird guy helped save him from some other walkers then helped him catch up to the walker on the highway). Morgan made some comment about needing to see/know; who did he think it might be?

Jimmy Hoffa. He's on a mission to finally put his whereabouts to rest.
