The Walking Dead season six

I want to know why the zombies didn't craw out from under the trailer. In Season 1 Episode 1 the zombies chased Rick under a tank and knew to bend down to get to him.

I agree with the idea of building a chute to make them fall from the top of the cliff and kill them for the second and final time. Think about the time and effort to line up the cars and build a fence.

Why not use a tractor lawn mower to cut off the zombie heads while driving down the road? They had a tractor store right there.

No kidding. Take a combine down that road.

Nick Papagiorgio tried to tell Rick that he could design a system or fence to keep the walkers contained, but Rick wasn't having it. I was hoping Rick had some bigger plan, but he didn't. Letting the walkers out of the pit was, in no way shape or form, a good idea.

Also on top of the bad ideas list from last show was the idiots with Glenn deciding they were going to try and use the glass door to control the walkers coming out so they could kill them one by one. The one guy says, "Yeah, I can hold 'em" ... sure you can.

Didn't Glenn watch Noah get gruesomely eaten alive by walkers that pinned him into those revolving doors last season? Why didn't he say, "Yeah, that's not a good idea. They're stronger than you think".

The ratings dropped for the premier, by a lot on Sunday. 3 million less viewers than for the premier of Season 5. Interesting.

As good as the season 5 finale was, not overly impressed by the season premiere. Seemed like they wanted to focus more on CGI & filmography rather than story for this particular episode. Yes, trying to herd zombies is the dumbest idea ever. By now, you would think Rick and gang would be familiar with Murphy's Law

Wonder how much of this had to do with Sunday Night Football and playoff baseball?

Probably very little. That was a terrible and boring football game until after the Walking Dead ended.

TWD always competes with SNF for the first half of the season, so the drop in ratings would take that into account already.

I have had similar thoughts on some of the inconsistent aspects of the show. But then I remember, I like zombie shows and this one is 1) not cheesy 2) has a ton of real world what -ifs 3) has great production value. So I just suspend the analytical and sit back and enjoy.

Wanna analyze tv?, watch The Last Ship with me. It is PAINFUL all the stuff they do that would never happen on a real Naval vessel. And why were there only 3 black people in the Friends version of NYC? Sometimes you just gotta sit back and let it be..... :)

And re the light em on fire solution, we saw that in S5 E1 No sanctuary when Carol blew up the propane tank. The explosion / concussion will kill them, but the majority end up being walking torches setting stuff on fire.

It is not like making stupid decisions is anything new in this genre.

Love this commercial.

I finally watched it last night and thought it was great. I don't put too much time into logically analyzing what happened so I'm never disappointed. I think it's still a great show. It's gotta be the Wolves blowing the horn right? I don't think anyone that stayed back in Alexandria has it out for Rick enough to screw up his plan.

PS: Desi please stop bringing math into Zombies.:)

I didn't like the episode much either, not a fan of the back and forth technique, at least the way they employed it.

Couple of things:

- the walkers didnt push the semi off the cliff, the ground underneath it gave way apparently due to rain storms.
- why are Ricks group able to get so close to the walkers while everyone else seems to be kept at arms length?
- wtf is Morgan's broomstick made out of???

It's a bo staff, like Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I feel like Rick and company should have tried to firebomb the pit zombies

I'm sure this has been addressed, but wouldn't fire bombing them just make them walking torches? They need head shots, and I'm pretty sure that would exhaust even their seemingly endless supply of ammo.

Why not just fortify the entry/exit points and keep them where they are. It's seems to be working to keep Alexandria safe.

That is exactly what Carter (Nick Pappagiorgio) was saying in the meeting with the town and Rick shot it down.

Oh ya. I miss Carter already.

I think Rick planted that walker at the tree and purposely sent Carter to his demise...that's why Morgan looked so suspiciously, curious at the death scene. hhhmmm

I was kidding about this...kinda. I mean that think crushes skulls like you might envision a lead pipe. Watching him wielding that nonsense at the same time we have a crossbow and a samurai sword in a fight scene has really put this in to comic book mode for me.

I didn't take it like that at all. Morgan looked like he realized that some people are just not worth saving. They will die no matter what you try and do.

Or he might have been thinking, oh crap this looks suspicious on Rick. I wonder if the people that weren't hear will believe he just got randomly bit now that Rick has serious motive to kill him.

Since the herd is coming toward the horn, the town has much bigger issues and the people will end up zombie bait. As others said above Rick's plan was very dumb.

In an earlier bonding sequence, Morgan had commented on how he felt Rick was the same person he met in Atlanta. Now he saw him kill a dude who had not turned and realized Rick was not the same person but a cold blooded killer who would do anything to stay alive

Is it possible to start a new thread on this every week as opposed to continuing with one 85 page thread for the season?
