I fish. Fresh and saltwater.
I traveled all over the Southeast and occasionally farther, during the '80's playing softball. Best finish was 8th place in the USSSA A division nationals in around 1987. I don't think we ever played against a trans. Not that I know of anyway.

Impressive. Are you referring to coed play? Because I play coed and womens.

How is that fair you play women's? You probably hit 400 foot moon shots. Probably park in the back rows

I have submitted articles for publication. Nothing has caught on yet. But working on it (and my spelling/grammar is much better than what I post on the Warchant)

Like popular press, or academic outlets (e.g., peer-reviewed journals)?

Academic and journals. When I was in school, I submitted an article for Law Review and was on the law review editorial staff. Really enjoyed it.

Is this some kind of euphemism?

We spend a fair amount of time helping with soup kitchens and, when possible, try to make it to services at a church catering to homeless. They meet at noon Wednesday, so getting free from work interferes often.
Much of my charitable giving involves sleeping bags, coats, socks, etc.... Getting down and dirty kinda seems oddly comfortable. Jesus was a homeless wanderer. When I retire, hopefully my involvement in street ministry will increase.
On a side note, walking the AT is a goal that is way up on the list.

I like soccer. Got into it about 12 yrs ago. One of my favorite things is waking up early on the weekend to watch matches. I get really into the World Cup as well. Alright...cool. Carry on.

I love volunteering at a local animal rescue. So much so, I have cut down on my business to dedicate more time to the rescue. I hope to volunteer full-time in the next few years. It is so rewarding and the dogs brighten my day.

I love going to see Broadway shows.

It's fair. There are zero rules against it. It's a team sport, sport. Lol @ 400'.............325' or so. Hit a walk off in extra innings a few weeks ago in a Freedom tournament. 'Twas lovely.

I like to sit right here, on the edge of this pier, watch the sunset disappear, and drink a beer.

Dead Presidents. I'm into presidential history and been to the graves, homes and libraries of about 30 or so now. I'm also intrigued by graveyards and the history they hold, I have been to some very interesting places.

I love going to see Broadway shows.

Thank you, I can't walk in the place worried I might bring 10 home with me but I do donate. I have been to a lot of Broadway shows myself with my wife, some of them I have really gotten into.

Based on the looks of that first baseman I think it is a wash on any perceived physical advantage you might have!

Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual. But now I know why I have always lost women to guys like you. I mean, it's not just the uniform. It's the stories that you tell. So much fun and imagination.

Jam, I volunteer at a "no kill" rescue or I'd have about 50 dogs living with me. I love it as I know all the dogs are safe and will eventually find their forever home. It is tough on our shelter owner who goes to the kill shelter and rescues the dogs. She wants to take them all and it breaks her heart to not be able to. It is not only rewarding, it is fun for me. Dogs are my anti-depressant. So much unconditional love.

As far as Broadway shows, take my man card. I liked Mama Mia and Hairspray and love seeing shows!

I've seen all of those. I thought The Lion King was one of the greatest things I have ever seen. I hate that Cirque Soleil crap though, same acrobatic crap with different music and settings. Sent one seen them all

Saw Phantom twice (NY & ATL), Wicked and Lion King. Loved them.

Tarpon, that is the most awkward looking swing. I'm sure it works for yoI. I also take great pride in my softball skills.

Wut? You cray.

Was going to say the same thing. Dropped rear shoulder, overly pronated front foot, premature hip rotation...

Tarpon - I personally think its totally cool that you can mash the softball. As for trolls, I think you're pretty well liked on here so I doubt anyone is trolling you.

It's not how they are teaching it in AZ and FL right now for spring training but she is trying to go yard so it's a great swing for that. Chicks dig the long ball.

I keep my weight on my back foot, not the front foot. The power is generated from my hips, if you know what I mean.

I love old sports/muscle cars, fishing, good craft beer, and football....then I love getting dressed up very girly with make-up and heels. I'm a total tomboy wrapped in a girly package.

I want to learn how to refurbish old cars. I want to rebuild an old 60's chevy pick up truck. Bench seats, flat black paint.

Religion and politics but I am not allowed to speak about them. :)

I have been playing softball for 35 years. I currently play in a over 50 league. While I was never more than an average player, many of the guys I play with were top league players in their prime. We have quite a few guys that are in their mid to late 60's still playing, and a few that are over 70. It's always interesting to hear some of their old softball stories, especially when they would go to weekend tournaments. Last night, they were talking about what some of the guys would do to get a competitive advantage, such as taking steriods and doctoring their bats. Also, some of the guys would do cocaine so they could keep their energy level up while playing all weekend in a tournament. A lot of these guys have had numerous injuries/surgeries over the years, but they still going at it.

There is a guy in our league that bats right handed, but his left hand is on top of his right hand (which is opposite of how it should be). No one makes fun of how he bats, because the guy crushes the ball and can consistently hit it out of the park (plus, he is in his early 50's).
