Florida State men’s golf student-athletes Gray Albright, Jack Bigham, and Tyler Weaver will compete at the 2024 Jones Cup Invitational running from January 9-12 in Sea Island, Ga.
The invitation-only tournament will feature 84 golfers, including 43 of the top 100 amateurs in the world. The opening round will begin on Friday and run through weekend at the Sea Island Golf Club.
Weaver will tee off at 9 a.m. on Friday, followed by Albright at 9:30 a.m. and Bigham at 9:50 a.m.
Albright heads into 2025 ranked 18th in the PGA Tour U and 62nd in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. He competed in four events earlier this season, producing his highest finish at the Hamptons Intercollegiate where he finished 1-under-par, 209, tying for seventh.
Bigham also contributed his highest finish at the Hamptons Intercollegiate, where he tied for ninth finishing even at 216 strokes. Bigham entered the tournament ranked 59th in WAGR.
After placing fourth individually, Weaver helped Florida State defeat Ohio State at the East Lake Cup by defeating Topher Reed 3&2 during match play. Weaver was also 1Up against Carson Bacha of Auburn. Weaver sits 70th in WAGR heading into the weekend.
