Today is a very bad day for Robert Kraft

Let’s hope it’s not connected to the child sex ring.
This has been all over the news for a couple of days, but they did not list the John names. It was a typical massage parlor that the cops were all over. There is some sex trafficking going on, but they were of age.

The local news has been saying that there would be known people on the list of Johns, and they sure have a known name

I don't see why it's a bad day for the guy. What does he have to pay? A fine of a few thousand dollars? Now if his wife takes half his money over this then that is a bad day but other than that he is still in the game of life and winning.

His wife is dead so he has that. It is embarrassing and it turns out these were sex slaves that were forced to live at the spa and had their pass ports taken by the madam.

Nowis he ruined? of course not

Ah, I must have thought of Bill B's wife then. Sex slaves, well damn, I didn't hear that part. Kind of a good reason for Ptution to be legal so it can be regulated and the girls can have a much easier avenue of reporting illegal activities.

Guy is worth 6 billion dollars and feels the need to go to a strip mall "massage parlor" to take care of some business? Can't he pay someone to bring some high end escorts to his mansion?
He certainly did not think it through.

Exactly what I thought. I sure as hell would have the hottest sexiest my billions could buy. I have been to a few parlors before over 10 years though. I think maybe only once did I have the feeling the girl was uncomfortable. The other we're all about that money

I just thought of a great Clinton/OJ-style legal defense for Robert Kraft. "I would, but I have no wood".

Apparently on your first offense, you can get off without any time served, however the second offense might require some days in lock up. He went twice that weekend, constituting a first and second offense. So if found guilty (seems likely considering there's video evidence), it seems like he'll get at least a few weeks of slumber party action.

The NFL also claims that ownership and execs are held to a higher standard than players, meaning punishments are more severe, so he'll likely be suspended for a few games and see a large dollar fine, which truth be told considering his net worth, won't be significant whatsoever.

No way in hell he’s spending any time in prison. Nor should he.

Maybe because jails are full and should be used for mainly violent criminals?
IMO jailing those who support businesses engaged in sex slavery seem like a pretty good use of jails.

I agree with your post within other contexts, like non-violent drug offenders.

Bc he’s Bob Kraft and he’ll have the best attorneys. Not to mention I’m skeptical anyone would get actual jail time for this.
I don't disagree that he has $$ for attorneys that could get him off.
That's why I specifically followed upon your "nor should he."

It appears if he receives the max sentence (doubtful considering his wealth), he could be locked up for 12 mos.

Did he (Kraft) or anyone else swept up in this particular sting absolutely know that these “employees” they had encounters with were enslaved? I guess my question is, how could they have known?

I guess these places will post signs now: We only use 100% slave free employees?

Too funny....but seriously....down here in South Florida....south of the Jupiter location and the others upstate....there are literally hundreds of these “Spas”....why are they allowed to operate? If this is a humanitarian crime and crisis, why haven’t every single one of them been raided and those enslaved freed....and those who own/manage these places be locked up and/or deported. I understand they don’t or won’t exist without the “customers”, but how are they licensed and continue to “operate”...I mean seriously.

The judges are busy getting the kinks worked out in their stiff joints.
