I'm possibly attending a wedding coming up - would appreciate suggestions of where to stay and things to do. Might be just me and the wife or we may take the 16, 13 and 10 year olds

I am also interested. Hopping on the motorcycle next week headed to the Ozarks (Eureka Springs) and Hot Springs was one of our planned stops. One constant that seems to come up is to stay at the Arlington Hotel since is historic and centrally located.

Good luck. I absolutely hate Arkansas and Missouri but unfortunately my FIL and MIL moved to Ft Smith so that my FIL could become the dean of a newly opening medical school.

The things I liked the best (which by NO means equates to even trips to Mississippi or Tennessee) are the wineries midway between Little Rock and Hot Springs especially Chateaux Aux Arc, the Petit Jean state park which is also between the two and the Indian casinos just across the border in Oklahoma across from Ft Smith. The BBQ in Arkansas seems to be especially terrible. The only food I've had in all of Arkansas I actually liked has been Braums in Ft Smith. But there are no Brauns in Little Rock or Hot Springs.

Ozarks (Eureka Springs)

Awesome. Fun riding through the Ozarks once you get past the Arkansas plains and get to them. Can be beautiful this time of year. A lot of desolate areas riding through the state too though. Have family from Eureka Springs, Berryville, Green Forest, Alpena, etc. Can be beautiful and saddening in the same mile stretch. Have a great trip.

7 from Hot Springs to Harrison was a great ride. Set up shop for 2 nights in Eureka Springs. Got a Mad Map of the area and there seem to be a lot of nice routes up here.

Avoid staying at Arlington Hotel. What was once great is now a dump.
We stayed there Saturday night. It is definitely dated but there was nothing wrong with it. I've certainly stayed in a lot worse. If you want to walk around Hot Springs it is centrally located.
