Noon update -- Here’s some assorted quotes and notable tidbits from today’s post-practice interviews.
FSU HC Mike Norvell said it was “a really good day” today. Was pleased with the sense of urgency. Guys were competitive and working to get better.
Norvell was happy with WR Andrew Parchment “responding in the moment.” Said today was one of his best practices.
On RB/WR Ja’khi Douglas, said he has confidence in the moment. Was “flying around” today like Andrew.
On LB Emmett Rice and his status. Said they aren’t going to put in him any situation where he’s not able to play to what he’s capable, or what’s safe for him. Norvell said its part of the job to take care of them.
Next, QB Jordan Travis spoke. Said belief in yourself and having other believe in you is very important for your career. Said he’s been watching a lot of film and this spring he flipped the switch where he has a lot of confidence.
On his relationship with Norvell and Dillingham, said he has the “greatest relationship with those two, probably greatest than any coach that he’s had. So blessed to have them.”
Next, DBs coach Marcus Woodson said he was really impressed with the mindset the guys had today. Said the BC QB changes the trajectory of the offense “big-time.” It’s a challenge that they can handle as long as they have a great week of preparation.
Said it “wasn’t a surprise the way” DB Duke Cooper performed. Said Cooper and Kevin Knowles are unlike most freshman. Both of them are very mature for freshmen.
Next, DB Omarion Duke Cooper spoke. Said he knows the “work its going to take continue” to receive increased playing time. Said his success against Miami Saturday was because of how he practiced throughout the week. Said he and Knowles are very close and there’s a bond that’s always there.

11:55 update -- As Norvell said in his recap, it seemed to be a very solid practice. Lots of energy. Lots of competition.
During the early 2-minute drill, Travis had a couple nice throws and missed one or two, but he finished the drive with a TD to Ja'Khi Douglas. The Fitzgerald came on and drilled a 34-yard field goal.
Milton took a drive and had a couple of throws to Parchment, including one that was really exceptional -- both the throw and the catch on the sideline. Parchment went on to have a very good day. Norvell talked about him afterward. ... Treshaun Ward had a nice run on that series as well, and Patrick Payton had a sack.
After Parchment's nice catch, Norvell yelled at him and a group of players: "That's the way to show up. Don't anyone take it from you. Details every rep!"
The team then worked on a lot of Boston College scout-team stuff before coming back for 11-on-11.
The highlight there was Travis hitting Treshaun Ward for a huge gain. Might have gone the distance.
When they went down to the goal line for the one final play, the defense covered everything well and Travis had to throw it too high for the catch.
After some special-teams work, the receivers and DBs got in some one-on-one work. ... Jarrian Jones had very good coverage on Pokey Wilson on one route, and Jones later came back and got an INT. ... Akeem Dent had a fantastic pass breakup. ... Renardo Green also had a nice PBU. ... The receivers made some catches, but it looked like the DBs got the best of it today.
Then the team went back inside for more scout-team work. Maybe the play of the day was a catch by walk-on WR Reggie Harden on Jarrian Jones. Jones had great coverage, but Harden made a highlight-reel one-handed (left-handed) catch for a 20-25 yard completion.
That's about it for now. Austin will be back with some notes from interviews.

Updates to follow.
Cliffs: Norvell gave high marks for the effort and execution. Says the charge to the team is to put together a complete week of clean, strong practice -- something that has eluded them thus far.
Travis -- says the 2019 BC game changed his life. Not sure where he'd be if he didn't get inserted into the game
