TWD - 10/29/17

Lots of action last night, but with a lot of the minor characters I was getting mixed up as to whether it was a good guy or a bad guy getting shot.

I was a fan of the action, but there were definitely some plot/story line holes galore.

If this is a war, why would Jesus take those prisoners? I mean, logistically, what was the plan? You don't have restraints for these people, and you've already shot up a dozen of their friends, NOW you decide you aren't going to shoot, just because they surrender? I'm not entirely sure that Tara was correct in Maggie v Rick. He's already stated that Maggie is the leader in waiting (trying hard not to make the Jimbo reference.)

Loved seeing Morgan open up a Commando Can.

Loved last week with the Rick/Negan stand-off...knew Gab was getting left behind...and can't wait for Gregory to get his. Hope Maggie gives it to him too!

This week, another great episode. Who was the "guy from Atlanta"? Are we supposed to know him? He looks vaguely familiar.

Ya, we've got sooo many Red Shirts now, it's hard to keep up.

I think Morgan's gone, "cleared" on us again...ruh roh.

Ya, I get the whole "they surrendered" thing, BUT you're right. What the frack are they going to do with them? This is reminiscent of the boy prisoner back on Hershel's farm. Shane would have Tara'd him...I bet Rick would now too (unless baby Gracie messes his mind up....again)

I enjoyed last nights episode. But I really don't get what Jesus is thinking. Is planning on setting up a PoW camp at the Hilltop? How are you going to feed them. All of them are just going to sit and wait for an opportunity to kill you.

There is no middle ground for Morgan. It's one extreme or the other.

I still like Tara!

Please do not make that baby be a story. No more babies!

Where was Daryl when Rick was in trouble? He had to have heard the gun shot.

Morales was one of the original people from Atlanta. He and his family dcided to break off from the group when they went to the CDC in the 1st season.

Oh, crap. I remember now.

I thought the same exact thing. As soon as that shot went off, I assumed Daryl would come running...which still may be the case.

I don't remember a gunshot when Rick was fighting - thought he killed the guy by impaling him on a metal spike?

Thought it has been a solid season so far. Some dumb points but that is tv. If Rick just shoots Negan and his generals dead, show is over for awhile. I get that. Like what they are doing.
As for the baby, can't leave the thing to die so they should just take her back to Alexandria and be like here to somebody and that is it. Nothing more.

I didn't watch the Talking Dead but my assumption was that they did it on purpose to play on the "if we had watched Negan's group from the start we would think Rick's group was the bad guys" idea. No clue if that's right but I felt the same way and it was my first thought.

I also feel like they've shot about about a hundred billion bullets thus far this season. I remember when they would save ammo every chance they could and now they shoot out banks of windows just because they're there. No value in the battle, doesn't hurt the other side...unless I guess people are walking around barefoot?

Yea they sure blew through tons of ammo.

No reason at all to take prisoners.

Everyone had to Google Morales after the episode.

At the end of episode 1, Carol, Ezekiel and crew were approaching the guard at by a building. He tossed a grenade that blew up , knocked them down, and freed the walkers that were in the building. It was in the mix of them bouncing around to various locations as episode 1 closed out.

All these guns... why does it feel like the Garbage Pail Kids didn't give them this many? And yes, the amount of ammo being plowed through... where from?

And weren't Rick and Daryl looking for a large stash of guns at the compound?

Who was Morales and why were Carol and Ezekiel in a cloud of dust, seemingly having been attacked. Did I miss something?

Morales was a minor character in the first season, when they were outside Atlanta. Only thing memorable about him is that he's the guy who insisted they tell Daryl about them leaving Merle on the rooftop. When the group decided to head to the CDC, he & his family split & headed toward Birmingham, where they had family.

Dwight* and I wonder where his hot semi-wife disappeared to.

She ran off and they didn't meet at the rendezvous house, so he assumes she is now free. Lied to Negan about killing her. Perhaps she will pop back up later in the season and Negan will kill Dwight for lying to him.

They gave guns to the Garbage Pail Kids so that they would join the fight. I thought Rick said in the building that they were looking for the "big guns" and would then turn them on the courtyard, not a large stash. And Rick was afraid if they got those guns out that the Sanctuary could plow through the herd.

Which begs, again... where did this artillery come from?
