Just a county commissioner paying a husband and wife to have sex with the wife ($100 for sex on Tuesdays, double the rate for Saturdays). And since it’s my old hometown I’m only three degrees of separation from the county commissioner (I know my mom, who knows his close friend who knows the county commissioner and his son an art teacher).

What's interesting is that the closer to the Florida/Georgia border you get, the more "backwoods" you get in Florida, but...all of this "Florida man" stories happen well south of that. Huh?

Is Brooksville considered a suburb of hogtown.

No it’s a little over an hour away, but I will say that it is heavily Gator in its fandom. There were only three of us from my high school senior class that went to FSU (one a football player, a girl and myself) but I’d say about a quarter of our class (so like 50-60) went to Florida and a near equivalent went to USF. Very few of my class went to any school other than UF or USF, I was a huge outlier choosing FSU (mainly for Chiefs and because I wanted a separate “real” college experience rather than High School Act Two).

Couple of unusual things I saw in the linked article and others I have read about this case, brought to you by the odd laws we have in America. 1) He has been charged with engaging the services of a prostitute, along with various other charges relating to her and another whore working. Yet they have decided not to charge either of the whores with prostitution. Doesnt common sense dictate that either both the John and the hooker - or neither be charged?
2) The court granted to the whore a protection order, allowing her to stay in Nicholson’s house - and banning him from going there. Uhm, it is HIS house. Why should she be granted the right to use it? I’m sure he will be required to pay the bills, too.

From what I've been told, the most back woods parts of the state are right down the spine, away from the coats. Ever seen Alligator Alley? Highway 17 south of i4?

Wauchula, Mulberry, Frostproof, etc.: lots of Fisher relatives living in those parts, for sure.
