Update: Pender has been dismissed.
Florida State Athletics announced today that Mario Pender has been permanently dismissed from the football team following his arrest earlier in the day. The Athletics Department will have no further comment at this time.

According to the Leon County jail website, Pender was arrested on charge of domestic battery by strangulation and resisting arrest without violence.
Because the domestic battery charge is a felony, school policy says he will be suspended from the team. Waiting on some official word from FSU.
