FSU sports information:

Two of the best offenses in all of college soccer will be on display on Sunday evening as the No. 1 Florida State women's soccer team (18-0-1) will play host to the Texas Longhorns (17-4-2) at 5:30 p.m. at the Seminole Soccer Complex. Ariya Massoudi (Play by Play) and Trevor DeGroot (Color) will be on the call on ESPN+. Sunday will be just the second all-time meeting between the Seminoles and Longhorns as the two teams met in 2007 in the Round of 16 in Tallahassee where FSU prevailed in a 4-0 win en route to their fourth College Cup appearance.

There will be plenty of star power on the pitch and plenty of offense as two out of the top five offenses in the country will go head-to-head on Sunday. FSU has the top scoring offense in the country at 3.16 goals per game while Texas ranks fourth in the country at 3.04 goals per game. The Seminoles have only given up three goals once this season and have only given up three or more goals in four games in the last four season. FSU has recorded shutouts in five out of the last six games and has allowed just four goals in their last 11 games dating back to Sept. 29 against Miami.

Against Texas A&M, the Seminoles turned to freshman Jordynn Dudley who is having one of the best freshman seasons in school history. Dudley scored the game-winning goal in the 55th minute against the Aggies for her 11th goal of the season. Dudley's 11 goals is the fourth most goals scored by a freshman in school history and is tied for second in the country among freshmen this season. Dudley and her counterpart Onyi Echegini are the first Florida State duo since 2014 to score 10 or more goals in the same season.

Cristina Roque rose to the occasion once again on Friday night with a season-high five saves to keep the Aggies off the board. Over the course of her career, Roque has picked up 13 NCAA Tournament wins in goal which is tied for second-most in school history and is just three wins away from tying the school record. More impressively, Roque recorded her 13th shutout in an NCAA Tournament game which is tied with Cassie Miller for the most in school history.

Why these games aren't on regular cable/satellite is beyond my understanding. 😠

Buncha bad asses on that squad. They bring it.
Dunno what the Texas coach was thinking, as he only subbed one player all match. FSU had 7 off the bench for 15+ minutes of playing time (5 for 36+). Pensky wisely saved starters legs for another day. Wowzers, Go Noles!

Penske is doing a great job! Haven’t missed a beat since Krik left and if anything elevating the program even higher.

Well, the ladies are going to have to beat a very tough opponent for a third time this season to earn their way to Cary. Sure hope it's televised this time!
